Day in my life!

Today was a day full of interesting activities and enjoyable moments. From a calm start in the morning to a relaxing evening, each part of the day offered something special. Here’s a look at how my day unfolded and what made it so memorable. I woke up around 9:00 AM, feeling refreshed and ready to start the day. After getting dressed and brushing my teeth, I headed downstairs for breakfast. I had a tasty meal of cereal with milk, which gave me the energy I needed. After breakfast, I spent some time reading a book called upside down magic. I enjoy reading because it lets me dive into different worlds and stories. This morning, I read a chapter that was really exciting and made me eager to find out what happens next. In the afternoon, I went to the park with my best friend Emma. We had a great time playing . our the playground with new and playful things.  When I got home, I was playing Roblox with my friends Emma and Sneha. It was really fun. We played so many things it was amazing....

horse riding week 2 day 5 (last day)

Today was the best day ever! It was my last horse riding lesson of the summer, and I was so excited I could hardly sleep last night. I woke up early, put on my riding clothes (my favorite jeans and that blue shirt with the horse on it), and grabbed boots. My Brother and my grandma came with us, drove me to the stables, and the whole way there, I could hardly sit still. When we arrived, the sun was shining, and the air smelled like fresh hay and grass. I walked over to the barn, where all the horses were waiting. They were so beautiful, with shiny coats and big, friendly eyes. I was especially excited because today, I was going to ride Remi, the horse I’d been paired with for the summer. Remi is a pretty chestnut gelding  with a white star on her forehead, and she’s super gentle. First, we had to groom the horses. I started by brushing Remi’s coat, and she seemed to really enjoy it. I made sure to get all the tangles out of her mane and tail, which took a bit of time but was a...

Horse riding week 2 day 4

Today was the fourth day of horse riding camp, and it was filled with exciting challenges and valuable lessons. The weather was perfect for riding, with clear skies and a gentle breeze. We started the day with a quick review of yesterday's skills and then moved on to new techniques. Our instructor, Ms. Taylor , focused on advanced jumping exercises today. After a brief warm-up session, we were introduced to a series of more complex jumps. I was both excited and a little nervous, as these jumps were higher and required precise timing. We practiced various approaches to the jumps, learning to adjust our speed and balance to ensure a smooth ride. One of the most challenging parts of the session was the "combination course," where we had to navigate a series of jumps in quick succession. It required a lot of concentration and coordination with our horses. My horse, Remi, was energetic but responded well to my cues. We managed to complete the course with only a few minor hiccu...

Horse Riding Week 2 Day 3

Today was another incredible day at horse riding camp, where I'm diving deeper into the world of riding as a coming seventh grader and advanced rider. The day kicked off with intense focus on refining our skills in the arena. We started with a rigorous warm-up session. Trotting and cantering around the arena felt smoother than ever. My horse, Remmi, responded promptly to my cues, showing our bond is growing stronger each day. Coach Taylor praised my improved posture and control, which really pumped me up for the day ahead. The highlight of today was definitely the jumping session. We set up a series of fences at varying heights, and I got to challenge myself with higher jumps than before. The adrenaline rush when Remmi and I cleared each hurdle perfectly was absolutely exhilarating. It's moments like these that make all the hard work and early mornings worth it. During our break, we focused on horse care and grooming. I made sure Remmi was brushed and comfortable, rewarding h...

Horse Riding Week 2 Day 2

Today was the second day of my second week of horse riding, and it was a fulfilling day packed with various activities centered around my passion for horses. The morning began early at the stables, where I eagerly greeted my horse and started with the familiar routine of grooming and preparing for the day ahead. It's always peaceful to start the day in the company of these magnificent animals, brushing them down and checking their hooves before tacking up. After grooming, I had my riding lesson, which focused on advancing my skills. We started with groundwork exercises to establish rapport and warm up before mounting. My instructor guided me through refining my posture, balance, and the subtleties of communicating with my horse through leg and rein aids. We worked on transitions between gaits, fine-tuning our movements to achieve smoother and more controlled transitions. Following the lesson, I participated in horse health and food. I learned about equine nutrition, the importance...

We were also learning about all the different kinds of brushes.  After that, we learned how to put on the saddles and bridles. It was a bit tricky for the other kids but I knew it and it was pretty easy for me, but the instructors helped them until they understood it better! Then came the best part - riding the horses! I was a little nervous at first, because I have never ridden there before, but it felt amazing. We practiced walking, trotting and turning in the riding arena. The horses were really gentle and listened to our commands. During lunch break, we talked about what we learned and shared stories about our favorite horses. It was cool to he...

We practiced Cantering  and steering our horses through cones. It was tricky at first, but by the end of the session, I felt like I was getting the hang of it. Ms. Holly even said I did a good job, which made me feel proud. Lunchtime was next, and we all sat together in the indoor arena. I had a Nutella sandwich and some goldfish. Horse riding Day 2

Hi Everybody, this is what I did in horse riding camp. First off we groomed and tacked up the horse we rode "Vandy" and my partner went first riding. While they were riding we painted horse shoes to keep for ourselves. After that we went riding. After riding we untacked and had lunch. After lunch we played in the water which was really fun and wet. After that we were learning the parts of a saddle which was really boring. And after that we played a game called hello neighbor. After that we were petting horses. After we were learning about the different kinds of bit's. After that the vet came and was helping a horse. (It was so disgusting.). So while that was happening me and one of the counselors there were checking all of the water buckets to make sure they were clean and full. They were. So we went to the automatic water fillers and cleaned those instead. And that is what I did in horse riding camp!
