Horse Riding Camp Day 5
Today at horse camp was totally awesome! We started at 8 in the morning when we all gathered around in our riding gear—helmets on and boots all set. First up, we were grooming the horses. My horse, Kirby, is super cute and silly, so brushing him down was easy-peasy. We also decorated
After that, we had a quick snack break where we munched on granola bars and shared funny stories about our horses. Then it was time for riding lessons! We split into groups based on our skill levels. so that means I was in the intermediate group with our instructor, Ms. Holly . She's really nice and patient.
We practiced Cantering and steering our horses through cones. It was tricky at first, but by the end of the session, I felt like I was getting the hang of it. Ms. Holly even said I did a good job, which made me feel proud.
Lunchtime was next, and we all sat together in the indoor arena. I had a Nutella sandwich and some goldfish. We talked about our favorite horses and with ones were the best to ride/ canter . Then, we had some downtime to hang out with the horses in the pasture. I fed berry another horse some carrots—I think he likes me!
At the end of the day, we cooled down the horses and gave them some treats. I said goodbye to all the horses and promised to visit him some other riding lesson I will get. As I packed up my stuff, I couldn't wait for a lesson . Horse camp is seriously the best!
