Riding lessonn

Today’s horse riding lesson ended up being quite an eventful one! I started out excited to ride my usual horse, Rama. I was getting ready to tack him up when my trainer came over and told me that one of his shoes had popped off. Since that’s not ideal for riding, I had to quickly switch horses and was assigned Napy instead. With only 15 minutes to go before the lesson started, I rushed to tack him up, hoping I’d be ready in time. We began the lesson with some walking laps to warm up, followed by trotting laps where we worked on balance and rhythm. We also spent some time stretching the horses’ backs. But a few minutes into the trot, my trainer noticed that Napy seemed a bit uncomfortable, especially with his back, so she decided I should switch again. This time, I was introduced to Scarlet, and she was absolutely fantastic. She was calm, responsive, and easy to handle from the moment I mounted her. We started cantering, and I could immediately feel how smooth and controlled she was. Sh...

Riding lesson

Today’s riding lesson with Rama went really well! It started a bit differently because I couldn’t find Rama’s saddle—it wasn’t on the shelf like usual. After a little searching, I found it, and then I got to work brushing and tacking up. We started with stand-up, sit-down exercises to warm up, which helped me focus on my balance and posture. Then, we did posting trot and 2-point trotting. The posting trot went smoothly, and I was able to get into a good rhythm, while the 2-point trot really helped with my leg strength and balance. When we started cantering, Rama got a little fussy. Normally, I don’t use a crop, but today I grabbed one to help encourage her to listen, and it worked! Once she settled, the canter felt much better. The best part of the lesson was going over poles! It was so much fun, and we really clicked as we moved through them. I felt like we were in sync, and it made the whole lesson even more rewarding. Overall, it was a fantastic session, and I’m excited for the next...

Horse riding lesson!

Yesterday, I had another amazing horseback riding lesson, and it was a lot of fun! When I was driving to the stables, it was snowing, which made everything look so magical. Upon arriving, I saw my little friend, Hannah, who was there when I first started riding. She had helped me get settled and showed me where everything was. It was nice to see her again! For this lesson, I rode Rama, a wonderful horse. Rama was actually the first horse I cantered on at my new stables, so I was excited to ride him again. After I caught him and led him to the crossties, I gave him a good grooming to make sure he was clean and comfortable. One thing that was a bit off was the non-slip pad—it wasn’t positioned correctly, which made everything a little tricky. I realized I would need to pick a better pad for next time. Once I got Rama all tacked up and ready to go, I was good to ride. Since it was snowing, there were only Hannah and me in the lesson. Our instructor, Ms. Joanne, couldn’t make it, so Megan ...

second day of school

My second day of school started bright and early at 6:00 a.m. I was both excited and a little nervous about what the day would bring. After a quick breakfast and getting dressed, I headed off to school, eager to see what the new year had in store. The first class of the day was Family and Consumer Science (FACS). I was really looking forward to this class because it’s hands-on and teaches useful skills. We spent the first day getting to know the class rules and discussing the different projects we’d be working on. I was excited to learn about cooking, sewing, and other life skills that FACS covers. Next was Math. Math can sometimes be challenging, but our teacher made it interesting by introducing us to some new concepts and showing us the math problems we’ll tackle this year. We started with a review of what we learned last year, which helped me feel more confident about the subject. After Math, it was time for English. I’ve always enjoyed reading and writing, so I was excited ab...

First day of school

I woke up at 5:30 a.m. on the first day of school, feeling both nervous and excited. It was really early, but I knew I had to get ready for a big day. After a quick breakfast and getting dressed, I headed out the door and made my way to school. The day started with homeroom. I was happy to see my friends and catch up with them after summer break. We went over our schedules and talked about what to expect for the year. Our homeroom teacher gave us a quick overview of the school year, and it felt good to get organized and ready for the day. Next was Physical Education (PE). I always look forward to PE because it's a chance to be active and have fun. Today, we played some team games and did a few exercises to see how fit we were. It was a great way to wake up my body and get energized for the rest of the day. Plus, it was fun to see everyone getting into the games and working together. After PE, we went to Science class. I like Science because it’s interesting and we get to do exper...

story 7

On a remote, windswept island, there stood a lighthouse with a flickering beacon that had guided sailors safely for decades. Its keeper, a reclusive woman named Nora, lived alone with only the rhythmic crashing of the waves and the distant cry of seabirds for company. Every night, Nora climbed the spiraling staircase to light the lantern, ensuring its warm glow pierced through the fog and darkness, a solitary sentinel in the vast sea. One stormy evening, as lightning illuminated the churning waters, Nora noticed a small, unremarkable boat struggling against the tempest. Her heart raced as she adjusted the lighthouse's beam to guide the vessel through the treacherous waters. The boat, barely visible, seemed to be drifting aimlessly. With her hands steady despite the gale, Nora maintained the light, her gaze fixed on the vessel until, miraculously, it managed to steer toward the safer harbor. As dawn broke and the storm subsided, Nora found a note on the lighthouse’s doorstep, left ...
