I woke up at 5:30 a.m. on the first day of school, feeling both nervous and excited. It was really early, but I knew I had to get ready for a big day. After a quick breakfast and getting dressed, I headed out the door and made my way to school.
The day started with homeroom. I was happy to see my friends and catch up with them after summer break. We went over our schedules and talked about what to expect for the year. Our homeroom teacher gave us a quick overview of the school year, and it felt good to get organized and ready for the day.
Next was Physical Education (PE). I always look forward to PE because it's a chance to be active and have fun. Today, we played some team games and did a few exercises to see how fit we were. It was a great way to wake up my body and get energized for the rest of the day. Plus, it was fun to see everyone getting into the games and working together.
After PE, we went to Science class. I like Science because it’s interesting and we get to do experiments. Our Science teacher introduced us to the topics we will cover this year, like chemistry and biology. We talked about some cool experiments we might do, and I can’t wait to start working on them.
Then it was time for History. History is another subject I enjoy because it helps us learn about the past. Our History teacher told us about the main themes we’ll be studying this year, like ancient civilizations and important events. We also talked about some interesting historical figures and their impact on the world. It was a good introduction, and I’m looking forward to learning more.
Finally, we had Spanish 1. I’ve always wanted to learn a new language, so I was excited for this class. We started with basic words and phrases and practiced saying hello and introducing ourselves. Our Spanish teacher was nice and made learning the new language fun. I think it’s going to be a great class.
After a busy day of homeroom, PE, Science, History, and Spanish 1, I was tired but happy. It was a good start to the school year, and I’m looking forward to what’s ahead. Waking up at 5:30 a.m. was worth it for such a great first day!
