second day of school
My second day of school started bright and early at 6:00 a.m. I was both excited and a little nervous about what the day would bring. After a quick breakfast and getting dressed, I headed off to school, eager to see what the new year had in store.
The first class of the day was Family and Consumer Science (FACS). I was really looking forward to this class because it’s hands-on and teaches useful skills. We spent the first day getting to know the class rules and discussing the different projects we’d be working on. I was excited to learn about cooking, sewing, and other life skills that FACS covers.
Next was Math. Math can sometimes be challenging, but our teacher made it interesting by introducing us to some new concepts and showing us the math problems we’ll tackle this year. We started with a review of what we learned last year, which helped me feel more confident about the subject.
After Math, it was time for English. I’ve always enjoyed reading and writing, so I was excited about this class. Our English teacher introduced us to the books and assignments we’ll be working on. We discussed some of the themes and topics we’ll explore throughout the year, and I’m looking forward to diving into the reading and writing projects.
Then, we had Guitar class. I was really excited about this because I’ve always wanted to learn how to play an instrument. Our guitar teacher showed us the basics and we got to practice a few chords. Even though it was just the beginning, I could tell that this class is going to be a lot of fun and a great way to express myself through music.
After Guitar, we went to Resource/Study Hall. This is a time when we can get help with our homework, work on assignments, or just get organized. I used this time to review my notes from the day and get a head start on my homework. It was nice to have a quiet space to focus and catch up on any tasks.
As the school day wrapped up, I felt good about how everything went. Each class was interesting and gave me a glimpse of what’s to come for the rest of the year. Waking up at 6:00 a.m. was a bit early, but it was worth it for such a great start to the school year. I’m looking forward to the new experiences and challenges that this year will bring!
