Riding lesson
Today’s riding lesson with Rama went really well! It started a bit differently because I couldn’t find Rama’s saddle—it wasn’t on the shelf like usual. After a little searching, I found it, and then I got to work brushing and tacking up. We started with stand-up, sit-down exercises to warm up, which helped me focus on my balance and posture. Then, we did posting trot and 2-point trotting. The posting trot went smoothly, and I was able to get into a good rhythm, while the 2-point trot really helped with my leg strength and balance. When we started cantering, Rama got a little fussy. Normally, I don’t use a crop, but today I grabbed one to help encourage her to listen, and it worked! Once she settled, the canter felt much better. The best part of the lesson was going over poles! It was so much fun, and we really clicked as we moved through them.
